characters lost their homes, their jobs, 
their sense of security, even their most
05basic beliefs. A few characters managed 
to save a family member. Most kept small 
keepsakes in their pockets. But by the 
end, they had almost nothing left of the 
world before disaster struck. When the
10show was over, the audience filed out 
smiling. After all, there's nothing 
more fun than the end of the world—as 
long as it's fictional.
